Blasters are part of the slugslingers's basic gear needed for slinging slugs.

Blasters are used to shoot Slugs with enough force for them to reach velocity and transform. Blasters can be customized with accessories to enhance the blaster's or the slinger's performance, although most slingers stick with the basic components of their chosen model and let the Slugs do the work. Blasters can be temporarily disabled, permanently damaged or destroyed by slug attacks, misfire or improper blaster modifications. Even without a blaster, it is still possible for the slug to reach velocity using historical methods such as catapults or slingshots.

How They Work

Blaster: How It Works

When a slug is loaded into the ammo feed, they active the fusion core where electromagnets spin a centrifuge until it reaches speed, releasing pressurized gas that then ejects the slug out of the barrel.

Blaster: Components

Blasters have 3 main components:

  1. The Base, which consists of:
    1. A Handle
    2. A Fusion Core: an integrated power source that converts Slug Energy into fire power. And the more powerful the slug the more powerful your shot will be.
    3. A Cocking Mechanism
  2. The Ammo Feed: a chamber where slugs are inserted
  3. The Barrel: which depending on style can help define the look and function of the blaster, and also come with:
    1. Add-on Rails: Used for accessories; such as scope and clip mods.

Shell Types

  • Slug Barrels: These clear blue-plastic tubes the most common type of shell for holding Slugs.
    • Ghoul Barrels: Unlike normal barrels, these are reddish containers, with a spiral-cover over the opening to seal a Ghoul because of there unpredictable behavior and prevent them from escaping.
  • Torpedo Shell: A specialized shell needed to fire most non-aquatic Slugs underwater. Most slugs have a tough time reaching velocity after being fired while under water, so they need this shell for an extra boost, Fire Slugs however are the only slugs that will have no affect underwater.
