Cave Trolls

Cave Trolls are a species native to SlugTerra. According to Will Shane, you can't find anyone more loyal or trustworthy than a Cave Troll. Cave Trolls are noted for being great engineers and are credited for creating most of the passage ways used in SlugTerra. In addition, Cave Trolls also controlled the Great Western Mecha Forge that produces Mecha-Beasts.

It is implied in "The World Beneath Our Feet Part 1" that Cave Trolls are not popular with other species. Both Trixie and Burpy are initially afraid of him, and Kord believes that Eli won't want to duel with him because he's a troll however Eli didn't seem afraid anyway.

Appearance[]

Cave trolls usually have blue skin, though they have been seen with teal and purple skin. They have many human like characteristics, but they have very broad shoulders and extremely large hands.

Abilities[]

Strength - Cave trolls are immensely strong; some can even deflect velocimorph slugs and even ghouls, unless they are caught off-gaurd. They can easily punch through solid metal. On one occasion, Kord was able to momentarily support and later lift and throw away (albeit barely) a huge piece of concrete weighing several tons.
Durability - Cave trolls have very high durability taking several blows from slugs and as seen with cord he stated why he lost against john volt was cause of his rammers which were enough to brus Kord but not severely hurt him like they would to most slingers like Eil.
Engineering skills - Cave trolls are by far the best engineers in Slugterra, having created most of the passageways between the caverns. The Great Western Mecha Forge, for instance, was owned by trolls, who were told to be the best in the business, and Kord, on more than one occasion, has impressively upgraded the Mechas on his own. On one occasion, Trixy has assumed that Kord knows about bridges simply because he is a Troll, which, even though he thought was pretty offensive, he addmited is entirely correct.

Weaknesses[]

An aversion to water. While an outright fear of water may be a trait particular to Kord, rather than standard for Cave Trolls as a whole, a comment made in the episode Undertow indicates that Trolls, in general, shower infrequently (Kord specifically showers once a year due to his fear of water).
They are very prideful and as described by trixie in Mecha Mutiny they would eat a Toxis slug than admit defeat and when they find out they were being tricked Kord cared more about the fact they made him look like a awful mechanic and fool than the actual mechas which sent him into a rage in Light as Day when El Diablos Nacho "destroyed his".
