The Jungle Cavern is a cavern that is featured in Endangered Species and Slugterra: Return of the Elementals.
History[]
Little is known about this cavern beyond the fact that it houses lots of lush jungle vegetation and a multitude of slugs of different kinds. In "Endangered Species," the Shane Gang came to this cavern to find an Enigmo, which was Mo. As they arrive they find out that they aren't the only ones hunting for the Enigmo, although one rich couple is waiting to buy it from the slinger who catches it. Eli and his gang try to talk the other hunters to stop cutting down the forest because it is also destroying the other native Slugs habitat, they agree that cutting it down is a bad idea and decide to simply smoke the Enigmo out with Flaringos.
Meanwhile, Gerhard Stocker, another Slug hunter who was a feared bounty hunter and a mercenary, had already set slug traps for the Enigmo, hid in wait for something to give. During all the choas, Eli stumbles onto one of the more deadlier of the traps and inadvertently save said Enigmo in the process without knowing it was the very slug he and his team were looking for the first place, (one of his teammates tells him the truth afterwords), much to Stalker's dismay.
When the Slug hunter demands the Enigmo and the trap back, Eli refuses, irking forth Stocker's wrath. After a full cat-and-mouse-day of dueling, Kord getting shot with a 100 Slug tranquilizers, Trixie having gotten caught in a cage, Pronto getting caught in a pit trap, Eli using the Enigmo by mistake, (only getting hit by it in a backlash the very slug he fired, ending up hitting him, himself -- causing his vision to became distorted), the Shane Gang ends with the Enigmo and as they talk about how odd the Enigmo's ability is, Eli tells them how it "was letting him more then normal, like it was showing him something else" and Kord notes that maybe "there's more to Enigmo then meets the eye". When Pronto "accidentally" leads them back to the rich couple, who ask Eli how much for it, he turns down their offer to buy the slug, saying: "Considering what me and my friends just went through, I don't think I'm leaving one of 'em behind".
In Return of the Elementals, the Shane Gang held their final battle in this cavern.
